Sex was the plan. Falling in love wasn’t. Eighteen-year-old Montana “Tana” Shaw has a plan for her life and she follows it to the letter. That includes losing her virginity to her best friend, Ryan Collins before she leaves for college. He’s wild, tattooed, and oh-so-tempting. She never meant to fall for him. But when Tana learns that Ryan’s past is responsible for her family’s heartache, she’s not sure her heart or their relationship can survive. Ryan Collins is the foster boy from the wrong side of the tracks. He’s scarred, no good, and knows with a past like his that he shouldn’t get involved with Tana even if the sparks are hot enough to drive him crazy. But when the past rears its ugly head, he’ll become the guy he hates in order to save the girl he loves.

Review
Ryan is a scarred young man who has a really bad past, but under this tough exterior he is a softie who has a lot of loyalty for his family. Tana is a girl who has gone from not having to worry about money to her and her family struggling to find the next meal. Ryan and Tana have a very close relationship which has never gone past just friends, that is until Tana asks Ryan if he will be her first and to take her virginity before she goes to college. Ryan makes it clear that he doesn’t want Tana to get the wrong idea and to not fall in love with him, but as you can expect, it doesn’t work that way and they soon start having feelings for each other.

I found the story line to be very good, I liked that it was to me an original story line, since I have not read anything like this.

I loved both characters, I thought they was very sweet, with Ryan’s toughness and Tana’s innocence, they make a brilliant couple. I would love to read more about Ryan’s foster family brothers, I think they would make for an interesting read.

Overall, not an over the top steamy book, but it has lots of romance and drama to keep you reading.
