My life changed in an instant when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  I was only eighteen, and suddenly my once clear path was racing a hundred miles an hour out of control. I was in the driver’s seat, but completely unable to steer my life back on course.  I lost friends and didn’t bother to make new ones.  I refused to let anyone in…  When the doctor uttered the word “remission,” my path changed yet again. That new path led somewhere I never expected—somewhere most people would look down on—but it’s where I finally found myself, and where nobody treated me like a piece of fragile glass. It’s also where I learned other people had scars to hide.  This is the story of how I met…him.  This is the story of how I became Faith.

Laura aka Faith is an incredible woman who is in remission from breast cancer, she wants to feel normal again, like she don’t feel so different from everyone else so she takes up dancing and she soon gets her va va voom back. Bryce has got scars as well and all he sees is a beautiful woman, and their connection is instant as soon as they see each other in the club.

I feel like both characters were so suited for each other, Laura is so scared to let Bryce see her vulnerable side, the way he reacts made my heart melt.

I think this type of story is so hard to write. The way the author wrote this story it really made me think, everything that Laura thinks/says is how I think I would react in that situation.

The only real issue with the book is that I would have liked it to have been a little bit longer, but this isn’t a major thing in my mind, I still loved everything about this book.

Child star: Part one.

CHILD STAR is a novel told in three parts. Each part is about 25,000 – 30,000 words. Amelia London is America’s sweetheart. Noah Sloan is America’s bad boy. Both are former child stars and once were lovers. When they are cast as the leads in the upcoming erotic suspense blockbuster—Sinners Like Us—they are forced to come to terms with the issues that tore them apart to begin with. As the whole world watches, can they keep their secrets hidden? After all, everybody is a sinner…

ff9eb-review

Child star: Part 1 is a snippet of a full book that is in a series. I am unsure whether I like the idea of installments, because it could get a little expensive.

Amelia is america’s sweet child actress, but she is so board with the reputation that she has as an innocent little girl, and what better way to do that then to start in Sinners like us. As Amelia turns up for her audition, she is stunned to find that the costar who is playing the male cast is her ex-boyfriend Noah.

Noah is a pretty big bad boy in the acting world. He mocks Amelia as soon as he realises she’s came to try out for the role, even though deep down he still has a lot of feelings for her.

It is only a matter of time before they start to realise their feelings for each other again.

I loved the story line, Noah and Amelia seem perfect for each other, but there is always something that gets in the way of them being together, which we find out why the main reason as to why they split up all them years ago right at the end, making it a big cliff hanger ending, but this is an installment book, so if you want to find out what happens next, you’d have to buy the next two books.

I could the major sexual tension between the two characters, and I loved reading about it.

Untitledas

In a world of dark spells and blood ties where no one is safe, love is the most powerful magic of all. Shy vampire Charlie never intended to see Vince again after the bad boy human broke his heart. But when Vince turns up beaten and marked for sacrifice to an Aztec God, Charlie will do anything keep him safe. Vince has never forgiven himself for the lie that ended things with Charlie. The spark between them is as hot as ever, and Vince would risk body and soul to make it a fire again. But as they hide deeper in Austin’s supernatural society—a world of lies, dark magic, and warring immortals—he finds the path to reconciliation more twisted than he’s ever imagined.

ff9eb-review

Charlie is an adorable 300 odd year old vampire, who you can’t help but love, and Vince is a macho lovable 24 year old human. Even though it should never work, they can’t get rid of their love for each other – no matter how much they try and stay out of the way of each other, they are always drawn to each other when times are tough.

I love anything vampire/paranormal related. I was expecting this book to be quite erotic, going by the cover of the book, however it is far from it, it is mostly about their fight to get the vampire world back under control after a with has run riot and is destroying everything.

Charlie is a very much closeted gay man, where as Vince is so far out and this causes a lot of tension between the two, with Vince wanting to show everyone the real them, but he can’t because Charlie always holds back. His reasons to hold back are very good, he comes from a time when they wasn’t very accepting, and he is worried about the reaction of the other vampires, however with Vince’s help, he slowly gets used to the idea of being out.

This is a very slow moving book (it’s quite a long book with around 325 pages). Which I don’t mind since it does make the story better to read, however at a point (at the very beginning) I did contemplate stopping reading, but I stuck with it and I am really happy I did, I loved everything about this book. The only thing that I wish it had more of was.. sex, I was gutted there was only 1 & a half sex scenes in it! However, it was still a very enjoyable read.

I needed more penis! LOL.

However, I did absolutely love this book, and I am really happy that I stuck with it.

Stepbrother’s Rules.

Stepbrothers rules

Yes sir_zpsorkeqzio

LuAnn’s had a crush on her older, rebellious stepbrother since the year he lived with them—his last year of high school. Now, four weeks before graduating from Sarah Wharton Women’s College, she’s been kicked out for having boys in her dormitory, and he’s the one who shows up to collect her. With her parents away in Europe, he brings her to his place, because leaving a young woman unchaperoned isn’t done in 1957.
Brad makes it clear she is not to emulate the wild behavior of his youth, and he starts things out with a long, bare-bottomed punishment. Soon, though, he discovers his stepsister is all grown up, and having her under his authority makes her a temptation too delicious to resist. Before long, he’s strayed way past what is acceptable, turning her into his little girl and bringing her to the peaks of pleasure during her numerous punishments. LuAnn brings out the dominant side of him, but with it comes the desire to take care of her and nurture the sweet innocence she’s been trying to cover up. He wants her for keeps, which means risking their parents’ disapproval and leaving his rebellious side behind forever.

LuAnn is a rule breaker on the outside, but is actually a sweet and innocent girl on the inside, who has always fancied her older step brother. She gets kicked out of the dorms where she goes to school, but she doesn’t want to trouble her dad who is on holiday, and since she is only a month away from graduating, she asks if she can stay with Brad.

This is where their story starts, at first Brad tries to keep the relationship platonic, but with spanking LuAnn, his desire gets uncontrollable and soon they start exploring a more interment relationship.

The spankings are very kinky, he is definitely a dominant, and LuAnn soon becomes his submissive. He clearly spanks her to show her that he is in charge, and gets her to call him Daddy.

kink

I find the whole thing about getting her to call him daddy a bit off putting (this is just a personal thing) I don’t really find it a turn on.

However, it didn’t put me off the book, and I actually did really like it. The story is based in the 50’s, which made it more realistic that he would use spanking for a way to show dominance

As the story progresses, they get less and less concerned with what their parent’s and society think, and they start accepting that they really want to be together forever.

Overall, a very sensuous read, and I loved every page of it!
